1.) learning(s) ha-ha moments: One of my moments when, I was reading the assessments. One of the kids asked what is a theory? I wasn’t expecting it and I had to think about it and give her a answer.
2.) Disappointments: I felt we could have done a better job of being good role models, and to make the kids more comfortable.
3.) Plans- what would you like to do during each period with your student(s)?: I would like to have them go threw the vocabulary words with them or to find definitions if we had the time, also go threw the book and ask them questions about the book, or what part of the book they liked the most.
4. Other- Exceptions not met?: I expected not much I was glad the children where asking questions and enjoyed the books I have brought.
5.) What Reading skills did you teach this week? We went over the main idea and the supporting details.
6.) What vocabulary words did you use from the book?: I had two different books one was, “ Sam’s Pizza”, the used the words: Scrumptious, cooed, weary, gasped. The other one was, “ the Legend of The Indian Paintbrush.” The words are: Shawman, dream vision, Dull, Maiden. I hand borrowed another book and it was, “The Grufalo” I used the words: Astounding, Amazing, Bursting,Knobbly.

8.) Brief summary of story: Sam’s Pizza is about a brother and sister, Sam is a mischievous boy and Samatha is a Gullible sister. Samatha likes food and when she would tell her brother he says, “ I am a wiz with mozzarella” so he helps her make a pizza, but she doesn’t know that he is putting thing in the pizza like; bug, dead things he finds, until she remember how he is and finds all the things he put in the pizza. The Legend of The Indian Paintbrush: is about a boy name Little Gopher, he wants to be a hunter but he cant be cause he is small and his peers make fun of him. Until he has a Dream Visions and they tell him he has a different purpose in life and it was to paint and tell stories of their people. The Grufalo: is about a clever mouse who tells animals that are wanting to eat him, A description of a creature that they don’t know or and makes up, until he meets the Grufalo, and the Grufalo tells the mouse that he want to eat him but he takes him back to the other animal that want to eat him, and tells the Grufalo that the animals are scared of him and the mouse tells the Grufalo that he is hungry and wants a Grufalo crumple and the Grufalo is scared of the mouse and runs away.
9.) How effective was the use of this story for you objective? It was effective Be cause the child was interested in the book and the liked the story and rememberd it when I asked questions about the book.
